moving lawn

im moving the lawn from the front to make a vegtable patch at front and lawn over some shingle at the back.

How well will the gaps fill in in the lawn how it is moved? as it looks like crazy paving instead of a lawn now?

 

If youve got gaps between the turves then fill them with some top soil and overseed. Also get the sprinkler out and keep it watered. Dont rely on the rain as turf dries out very quickly until the roots establish.

 

thats sort of what i planned to do. is it worth soaking so wet and rolling it?
