Quite a few autumn raspberries bed hopped into an adjoining raised bed I grow my salad stuff in and I really should have shifted them over winter, but somehow I forgot and they're now so big I can't ignore them longer.

So out they came out this afternoon with as much root as possible, which wasn't much as I've worked loads of sand and spent compost in the bed, and put clumps of five or six 300 - 400mm high plants in pots made from ex-Morrisons flower buckets, well watered them and placed them in the shade under a willow tree.

Have I completely wasted my time potting them up?
