Great job so far Slinky, I spy a Haemerlin wheelbarrow there !! Lots of tree roots, I had the same problem when I was digging out my back patch only the roots were at least 30ft long and 2" diam. Tarzan could have swung on them. Also the trees at the side of the house were really badly infested with climbing ivy and it was growing through my garden some as much as 12 ft over the area I was making into a veg garden. It was down to about 18" into the soil and took a fortnight to dig it all out.
Question, in pic 2, What are the metal objects in the l.h.top corner???

Great job, Slinky! You can see how much hard work you have put in already and it's going to be great!

What are you going to do with the old weights? I would be tempted to create a piece of garden sculpture with them, a lick of paint and some surrounding planting and I think it would look great :)
