While everyone is looking at the uprisings in the middle east, or the latest budget, I bet few people will be looking at this:

MP expenses rules will be relaxed, so while those of working in the private sector will still only be able to claim for our own business related expenses, and if we want to take our families on trips with us we have to pay out of our own pocket, MPs will also be able to pay out of our pockets too.

So while they've accepted their pay freeze, they get to claim more expenses.

I have to say that this doesn't really annoy me. I'm impressed by their creativity. It kind of reminds me of the attitude I had when I was little, when I'd been naughty once and my mam said I could either do something or other or I could get to bed. I chose to get to bed, went up, got into bed, got straight back out, came down and announced 'right, I've been to bed like you told me, now I'm going back out'. Likewise it seems the MPs have been rumbled, agreed not to do it again, and found a slightly different way of doing things so its not a straight repeat of what they got done for before.

Just like when they changed the poll tax into "I can't believe its not poll tax" and everyone stopped rioting.

It was called something else, but it was still double the price of the old Rates:DOH:

:mute: I'm still so mad from the last round of expenses scandal that I have nothing to say that can be printed.
