Both our digital cameras (Sony & Canon) can take movies. The PC software that we already have allows editing frames and joining movies together. I'm looking for an application that will convert Mpeg4 to DVD so that we can view movies on the TV. Once up a (long) time I had ROXIO which was quite good and I've also got an ancient copy of MGI Videowave that I used in the past with a proper video cam. What I'm looking for is something simple - I don't really need lots of bells lights and whistles. I don't mind paying for decent software if it does the job but from what I read in reviews functionality of some some of the stuff out there is rather mixed.
    Any ideas or suggestions please?

Thanks Nick. I'm still using XP and have Movie Maker but it doesn't recognise my mpeg-4 files.

I use a programme called magix video editor, but it does have bells and whistles.
