          There was only one of them. The boy worked that out when he was listening to the language when he was a baby. He never said a word for the first year, but he'd worked out that if it had an S sound on the end of it, it was plural.

          Same rule applied if you only had one Boc. More than one was Box:)

              Maddie and I have had several late night encounters with our local fox family, he/she seems to have realised at last Maddie can run faster than him. We have had several very near misses, with me worrying about any ensuing fight and vet bills, now the fox retreats to the hedgerow, and I try to keep the torch off his bright green eyes in the hope Maddie doesn`t spot him, but she still runs about on his scent.
