Here's a pumpkin I have growing in a large growbag; a method I did successfully last year :thumb: It's had a handful of male flowers so far...

Sadly its not one of the 'Giants' (they're still babies :D), it's one I started off earlier this year..

Thanks Bilbo, I've got 4 pumpkins on the go and was wondering if I could pot them out in growbag/large pot? I'm gonna empty a large growbag in an old tyre.

      Cheers, Plant Potty.

The first 2 female flowers have opened (VERY large flowers too) and already there are little pumkins slightly larger than a golf ball; things are looking good :thumb:

Bilbo, have you any male flowers? If so I'd perform manual pollination.

Hi, thanks, yes there are several, I have manually pollinated them just in case, but there were quite a few bees round them too...

John- I go to the trouble of finding an appropriate Dr Who photo for Zig, and you've gone on to reference The Borg! :D

Update.....well Mr(or perhaps Mrs?) Pumpkin has now got about 6 young pumkins on, all but one I'm assuming have 'set' as they are firm and have doubled in size, the one that hadn't was soft so I removed it....:thumb:
