MTD 80 Chipper/Shreader

Anybody else got an mtd 80 Chipper? Got given one last year, been stored over winter.

Will the blooming thing start?! Got a good spark, compression seems ok, can hear it chuffing through the exhaust.......but will not fire! I'm quite handy with small engines, but this one is being a stubborn mule!

Anyone else had any experience with this type of machine? It's 5hp Techumesh.

If you are certain that you have a good spark, then it cant be more than a fuel related problem. As its a 5hp Tecumseh, it will probably be the H50. Carbs on these are known to give trouble sometimes.

The company stopped making engines in 2009, and spares can be difficult to come by.
