Mulching

    Because plot was first dug in 08 after who knows how many years as grass, the different varieties of WEED was unbelievable .
    Q Can i use last autumns leaves for mulching round my root crops

    Yes, don't see why not. If they still look like leaves then they may dry out and blow away, but if they have broken down a bit or are matted together (or your plot is sheltered) you shouldn't have to keep sweeping them up from the corner and carrying them back again :thumb:

    We use a black membrane, designed for restricting weed growth, which works a treat.
