They are in my garden - in abundance - I hasselled a few off my verbascum (now of course mostly only stalks  ) and left them in a prominent place for the birds but they were ignored by the birds.

Where are my frogs when I need them?

Does anybody know if its worth spraying them now they are so big?

    Thanks.
    Frances

Would mothballs work ( not on Banana Man)I fear its too late to help him ;) but used around the plants you want to protect, my mother puts them in her boarders to keep cats away,

Thanks Banana Man for the welcome and for liking my name. An ex-boss nicknamed me 'flounce' because I do, apparently!

A favourite-sounding word of mine is 'lascivious'.

Thank you Poppy for your mothball advice - I'll remember that advice for next year. :D
