    lovely photo pal, you lucky b****r getting such great birdlife in your garden. It looks like you have tree sparrows on the other feeder, not the more common house sparrow.

    What you cannot see, is the other family waiting in one of the trees for these to finish. Sadly something distrubed them and they all left and did not return until later on, when it was raining. They are very timid and the slightest movement in the house makes them leave.
    Now what I would like to see in the garden is the green woodpecker! They are in the woods near to us, but never come into the garden.

    Absolutely fabulous Palustris! A family of woodpeckers AND tree sparrows in one shot - infact in one garden - you are so lucky! Thankyou for sharing your wonderful moments!
