musa lasiocarpa

Hi guys can anyone tell how hardy the lasiocarpa is please.Iv just got one thanks...daz

 

Not grown one myself so can only really repeat what I have read, which I dont like doing.
As I understand it they are pretty hardy root wise as for the top growth probably up to a point.
Think I'd protect it in its first winter and see how it gets on, then in susequent winters you could allow a bit less protection.
Of course the only real way to tell is to leave it to its own devises, something I only do when I have at least two of anything.
