    Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help identify these mushrooms to me, they're growing wild in my back garden, they grew last year also (when we first moved in), don't know if they have been there before that or not, where they are has apple trees growing nearby, two well established, and one which I planted late last year. There have previously been other trees on the same part of the garden, but I dug the stumps out as best as I could. Any help is appreciated :)

Where is this, it's not on the forum part it says, or if it is, I can't find it?

it might not be showing up in part it says its in if you haven't sorted by Last post time in descending order (dunno why, only just noticed this myself)

As to what mushroom, not a clue, sorry, but that discoloured bit at top is called a nipple (? or so ive heard) so that might help you narrow it down

Hi Newgardener... 1stly the Identification forum has suddenly started running in alphabetical order.. Not sure why so will get that sorted out..

So that puts your post on page 19 at present but I will get that sorted out as soon as I can & then you will be at the top of the first page again.. I am very sorry not sure how it has happened but sometimes we have gremlins in I think.. :dh::hehe:

:scratch:Your Funghi looks to me like it could be Marasmius Oreades or Fairy Rings.. Not a big problem & they will be gone soon or you can get a fungicide...

Thanks for your replies, I wonder if they are edible? May be getting some trippy postings if they're not haha.

I know JWK, I wouldn't eat anything unless certain. I am waiting, most likely in vain, for my shiitake mushrooms to sprout, they're on a birch trunk, I hope they do grow though :)
