    Hello all!

New to the corner but long time follower. Needing some experts advice! :)

Recently bought a mushroom kit and had a good few...picked those and been waiting or new to grow...however, the box has been taken over by tiny black irritating flies...no idea how together rid of them. Will they affect the new mushrooms?

    Any advice much appreciated! :)

They're fungus gnats, when I worked at the mushroom farm you couldn't have a cup of tea without dozens of them ending up in it, there were billions of them.

Normal advice is to water from below rather than wet the surface, but you can't do that with a mushroom kit.

    Sticky traps or nematodes.

Why not use tea bags instead?
