Is anyone else a music collector?

I collect anything of The Smiths, Morrissey & Jeff Buckley that I can get my hands on!

Here's my Jeff Buckley collection > HERE

It's probably the most addictive thing I spend my money on...

I go in stages .... some months, I'll buy 6-7 cd's ... and then won't buy music for several months.... I do listen to spotify for several hrs a day when working on my pc, so I get to hear new music, then buy

I have a huge collection (lost count but must have more than 700 cd's)

have a mixed collection ... mostly 70's blues/rock .... of late, I am starting to enjoy jazzy and folk music (must be age)

I used to have a lot of CDs, but I sold most of them earlier this year, now it's mainly Jeff, Smiths, Moz, Interpol...

    times are changing

the way to go is to subscribe to spotify or a similar site (some are free such as www.grooveshark.com spotify costs you a tenner a month, and you can create playlists, and have access to millions of tracks/songs ... play these through your pc with gaming speakers which sound pretty good ... or...if you want hifi sound ....

get a decent hifi amp (you can buy an older good one such as an old Pioneer A400 for under £100 on ebay .... a pair of decent speakers such as Mission 751 freedoms (for approx £100) and a DAC (digital to analogue convertor) ... a fairly decent one costs under £100

you will now never need to buy another cd again and for £10 a month, it is definately worth the money if you enjoy music ...

and with the combination of the amp / speakers/DAC, you have a sound system that will be as good as a hifi system that costs approx £1000+

I've never paid for music which hasn't been physical, don't see the point for a few quid less! And I like actually having something. And with Jeff being dead, there will eventually be an end to my collection...
