The little black kitty is my newest addition whom I rescued earlier this year. She is a funny girl with the prettiest color eyes! The black and white is my constant companion and his name is Felix. He is also a sort of rescue. He's a big sweetie. The Maine Coon is Monster. Very independent, does what he wants, is clever but doesn't have loads of common sense. He is a Daddys' boy.
I bet they keep you busy, Catztail. Feeding time is bad enough in our house with one moggie. There is hell to pay is the food isn't up to scratch.
It's hard enough to try to please and be owned by two cats, never mind three of them.:D My oldest cat. Sally, is the Queen Bee, while Jenny is the one who comes into the house, from the garden, like a rocket, races upstairs and then back out again, what that is all about I have no idea. Love your cats, Catztail, and nice to see how you appreciate them.:D

Thanks everyone for all the lovely comments. They are amazing creatures if you think about it. Why would a predator even be remotely interested in living with a human?? Some people will say cats are selfish but aren't the people who own them as well? It's a relationship that works both ways. One of the other reasons we have cats and no dogs is we both work and while you can leave a cat to it's cat naps during the day a dog is much more needy and it wouldn't be fair on the poor thing to leave it by itself all day. I am sure though that when we can both be around all the time that we will be getting a dog as well. Hope it's soon cause hubby needs the exercise!!
I know some will think that I'm guilty of anthropomorphising, but I think my cat, having been a stray, is very grateful for a nice home. He's certainly felt no need to stray from it. He has got to know what time OH comes home each night and is ready waiting to hop on his lap. It's really very sweet.
Lovely cats you got there Catztail, my cat Poppy does the same thing, i leave the big side window open for her to come in and out as she pleases, and at times she will bomb through the window charge up the stairs do a mad run into the bedroom and then bomb back down again and sometimes makes a wierd growling sound as she does it, never understand what its all about but reading on this thread others cats do it least i know Poppy's not lost her marbles.
Shiney, our last cat was an Oscar. He was 14 when we had to have him pts.:( We buried him at the bottom of the garden and I planted it black and white in honor of him. He is still sadly missed. Give your Oscar a cuddle for me.
Love the pic of Monster and Felix having a bit of a spiff over the garden chair! They look absolutely sweeties....
Thanks Canna! That's one of my fave pics. You would think Monster had the upper hand by the sheer size of his paws but somehow Felix always gets the best of him. Just after I took that pic they had a rough and tumble around the garden and as always Felix was the top cat!!
