I was the proud leader of my pack over a space of 19yrs.I had 5 german shepherd dogs and 1 little battersea-ite.But as all good things have to end one by one they left me.We had them all cremated and i kept their ashes. This year we had our garden landscaped (sort of),and last week hubby dug a nice side bed for them,I planted the acer called orange dreams which i thought was fitting as they all having a lovely snooze [IMG] They used to lie in this spot to get out of the sun.I hope i've not bored you i just wanted to tell someone and i can't think of a nicer group to tell. got to go am filling up. What a wonderful story, josephine, and I know exactly how you feel. My Puschka and Skwij (white brother and sister cats) are under my almond tree here resting in the sun! [IMG]

I'm glad you've told us ... it's nice to share such memories! [IMG]

I can't agree more! I must say that I do really appreciate being with a group of people who have a deep affection for animals.

Thanks for sharing that thought with us Josephine.

Thats a lovely thing to do..I know i have considered it before but we are allways on the move so i have never been settled long term to do anything like that..But i will seriously consider doing something with the dog i have now ..when unfortunately he leaves us..I cant even bare the thought of that happening..I just wish they lived longer..I have to say my dogs granddad lived till he was 17 which is a great age for a large dog ..so i live in hope..
