Here's a pic f my two dogs. Candy is the Staffy and Bruno is the German Shepherd. They're poorly at the moment so I was up most of the night with them.

This is a normal morning down the park. We normally have upwards of 12 dogs all playing together:

I used to have a german shepherd, she was a rescue, someone had tied her to a corner of a shed and her tail to the other she had ripped all the skin off her tail end trying to lie down-the b8st8rds!!-May their souls putrify in hell. She was a gentle giant and the joy of our life, but her life was tragically shortened by her earlier abouse.

German shepherds are a superb breed of dog. And yours is an absolute babe!

Hiya LMRR, your dogs are lovely. I also like the pic of your 'park', not jealous at all:p:D. Dogs love the beach don't they:). It's a treat now for our Joyce to go down there and she can't run around like she used to but she still loves it, even though she's never been a swimmer she likes to dip her nose in and go up to her belly:D.

Must be really good with all of you there.

    cheers

That is awful I know what I'd do to them if I caught them but its not repeatable on here

They are both rescued. Bruno was from the RSPCA and had been there a year. He had no fur when he arrived and it took ages to grow back. He was very vicious in the kennels but is an absolute softy. They weren't sure if his fur would grow back and whether he would be able to be re homed but luckily he's here.

Candy came from Pound Puppy Rescue and she was given up because she'd esten the owner home. U name it she ate it. Mattresses, cushions, sofas, tables. They left her on her own for 8 hours and because of the destruction they started caging her. I don't think they gave her the exercise she needed and the love. She's fine now and is a gorgeous dog.

Hi Borrowers - the park is about 10 mins walk round the corner and there is lots of grass for the dogs to run on and the beach as well. Loads of them love swimming and they have a great time. It's so funny cause we get down the park and they start looking for their friends. Loads of people with puppies ask if they can walk with us to socialise their dogs. All the dogs know me as I'm the biscuit lady.

I don't know what I'd have done without my dogs. I've made some lovely friends and they get me out of the house.

    Hi Little Miss,

It really is just a matter of love, discipline and a genuine interest in each individual animal and its needs that can turn a once problem animal into a valued member of a family. Viciousness stems from fear and you have obviously cracked it. Tasha was desperate for love and the only lingering problem after she was rescued was ill health. She was a bit snappy at first too which was only because she became very protective of us all, and it broke my heart to say goodbye to her. But she is gambolling around in doggy heaven chasing rabbits now.

My in-laws have a Staffy called Ellie - It is the daftest dog I have ever known. My girls both adore it (OH & daughters).

My daughters stay with Grandma & Grandad Ellie when OH is working two days a week - Ellie is so soft we are often told that one the girls has been sitting on or riding her during the day. Ellie softy image soon disappears if she thinks the girls are threatened - we all have to be carefuly not to play fight when she is around as she will immediately jump in between and start "protecting" them.

When we pick them up in the evening Ellie is shattred and usually curled up in her basket in the kitchen hoping for a bit of piece and quiet - Emily & Izzy both have to give her a kiss and cuddle before they leave.
