Very nice indeed, bit like mine, but you appear to have bleached one of yours!

Bet they keep you busy UJH:) Are they both labs? Sorry for ignorance, get confused with retrievers!!! Don't shout:(

Two youngsters together, and strong ones at that. You must have lots of energy!

    cheers

They are both labrador retrievers. Always bringing something for you when they see you. A cushion, a scrap of paper. Many thanks for all your kind comments.

Here is Bob in front of my lavetera with cushion (and eyes closed:rolleyes:)

They walk very well with my husband, here they are with him in the New Forest on a walk.

They weigh about 26-28 kilos which is about 4 stones so they have to be well trained or they'd never get taken out. Lenny has got his Kennel Club Gold certificate for the Good Citizen Dog scheme.

    Thanks for your response UJH.

Your labs look very well trained - I was going to ask what part of Hampshire you are, cos I used to live there, near New Forest - Dibden, Hythe, Totton (and do you know Millbrook?) Both your dogs look lovely, what a cliche, sorry, but I mean it. How nice to enjoy a walk there with your dogs. I didn't have a dog when I used to go there, but then I was working and then a mum without proper care for an animal as well. When I was younger and had my first dog, the New Forest seemed miles away and there weren't the transport links then.

I used to go bird watching in the NF and when he was a baby, took my son there to ('try!) and get him to go to sleep. My ex is a 'don't know what you call it now' but has access to lots of places the public don't.

Anyway, can I just say I love the picture of your CKSP. A really beautiful photo. It captures him so well. You can understand his eyes. Beautiful. What was his name? I am glad you have the photo to put on here so that would mean you have a brilliant photo to have at home. Obviously I didn't know him but I can picture him living next door to us. Do you know what I mean? He has the sweetest face. But you knew him. That's what counts. Sorry if this sounds morbid.

    Please keep the pics coming.

    cheers

    Right,

He was called Jasper. He died aged 6 and it broke my heart . I adored him. They are prone to heart trouble and for 5 months we took him to a specialist referral vets, some of them can live quite some time with the help of medication. The time was approaching when we would have to decide to have him put down but he saved us having to make that decision by dying peacefully and painlessly at home in my arms.

We got Lenny 3 weeks after he died because the house was so empty without a dog and my husband couldn't bear it. The New Forest is about half an hours drive for us. We are more mid Hants.
