Hi Kedi-Gato thought you might like to see a photo of my Cardiocrinum in bloom - this year the lily beetle had a good feed and then the slugs ate the rest for me, so I have moved it and hopr to have more luck next year and will try the coffee grounds treatment.

How beautiful Seeker! There are so many blooms on it too. Is it one or two plants? How long have you had it? How do you overwinter it? Isn't the smell heavenly? mmmmmhhhhhhh! It reminds me of how yellow azaleas smell, do you think so too?

Ours looks very poor. It was getting eaten outside so Hubby brought it into the Wintergarten just over a month ago. Thought it was doing OK then the leaves went all droopy and mushy, like it had been over-watered, which it might have done while we were away.

I guess it looses its leaves in the winter, but as said, ours went all yukky not dried like would be normal.

Hubby has now taken all the leaves off and is letting the pot dry out and we have our fingers crossed that it survives and comes back next year.

    Hi Kedi-Gato,

I thought you would like to see my photo - I don't know how many plants I now have as it has been in the container for several years and it was the second time I have had blooms, a you know they only bloom once then die, but of course are constantly making more corms, so you will get a few blooms each year with a bit of luck, if you can get on top of the slug problem. This autumn I moved it out of the container into the garden and was amazed at how many corms I have. You say that you are drying out your container, I'm not sure about that ,as I have always left mine in the garden and it has come to no harm.
