My Chillis are

    HUGE. Is this normal? They haven't started to ripen yet but they look like those elongated red sweet peppers. If I put one of these in something it'll blow heads off :lollol:

    Do you know what variety they are Granny ? That might account for the size. And they might not be very hot, some chillies are mild enough to eat whole.

    Thats right Alice they do come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and hotness. My Hungarian Hot Wax are massive whereas my Twilight are petite.

    They are called 'Inferno' so I am assuming they are hot.

    Hi Granny, googling "Inferno Chilli" returned:
    "Extremely hot flavour.
    A short tapered, red hot chilli.
    Fruit colouring is green turning red.
    It is perfect for adding a hot spicy taste to Mexican and other cuisine. "

    Make some sweet chilli sauce with them. The sugar you add in the process cancels out the heat of the chillis.
