My Corner of the World Top 30 Photo Comp 2013..

A new comp for 2013..!


As we are all spread around the country & globe here on GC now, I thought a competition for "your corner of the world" would be nice..
Some of us live in the country,some of us in towns.. Wherever it is, it is your " corner of the world".! These corners will change with the seasons so can add more interest to the photographic year.!


Your photo could be a special place, your garden, a scenic shot or favourite view, buildings, roads, rivers whatever you like, love or maybe even hate, as long as it is in "your corner of the world" and of course taken this year.



I hope there will be some very inspired photos if the photos posted elsewhere on the forum are anything to go by..

So come on everyone get your thinking caps on and have a look around you..!! There is allot of scope with this topic, have a good think.. So lets see what we can ALL do..!!

The competition is of course based on the Integrity & Honesty of the entrants first & foremost...!!
We all have different cameras & abilities and that is what having the competition is about... Our ability to take a good photograph, to improve on that if we can with each photo we take, interpret the months theme as widely & imaginatively as we can..... without editing enhancement! So good luck everyone!
There will not be any prizes for this Competition, just the self-satisfaction of gaining and showcasing your photography skills.

Please follow the guidelines below:-

1. All entries to be submitted in this thread for inclusion in the competition..

2. You can enter up to five (5) pictures. All images entered must be the intellectual and copyright property of the member

3.Give your picture a title.

4.Display your photo up to full size 600x800 and the file size to be less than 300KB in JPG/jpg format .. No thumbnails or links please..!

5.Photos have to be taken within the current competition month & year
* "Competitors are advised that they should ensure that their
camera's time and date function is set correctly as EXIF data
attached to most images is available to moderators and other competitors to view”.*

6.All entries should limit the use of digital manipulations to only file conversion, level, curve and sharpening. Adding elements to the original image that were not there are NOT allowed. NO software filters or frames are allowed. Colour or Black and White (Black and White conversions allowed).
