    Hi everyone

I bought some mini daffs from lidl in September/October and put them in the ground and some in pots. This morning I noticed one of the flowers had bloomed, so bought it indoors and another one has opened. I don't know why I keep bringing things inside???

Anyway I haven't seen any others open yet, did I do something wrong, is it too early?

Also the ones in the ground out the front shot up green stems straight away an have been there all over winter...why have they no sign at all of any flower buds?.....in fact they could be Iris's, would that be why.

There are some very early varieties, RG, so I wouldn't worry too much, rather than having done things wrong you've done things right!!
I've got literally thousands of shoots pushing up through the soil as over the years I have planted various types of bulbs in layers, one layer on top of another, with up to 4 or 5 layers in places. So when the weather is good in Spring I make a mug of tea and sit somewhere in the garden and try to remember what I planted where and trying to identify what the shoots are.......usually without less success than I would like.:heehee::coffee:

mini ones are usually always early. when you select bulbs pay attention to the bloom time. that way you can get a long season of always having some type of daffs blooming all the way into end of May.
