I'm not sure if it's a boy or a girl yet, but my first gazania grown from seed has flowered.
    A proud Daddy Gazania :)

        Are gazanias not hardy perennials?

I sowed some seeds a couple of months back but are still quite small. Cant see me getting anything from them this year. Where I tore open the packet I removed the bit that says annual, perennial etc. They`re just listed as mixed F1 hybrids.

That flower that you posted is absolutely stunning! It looks painted, but it's not! Congrats on your new bundle of joy. I hope you have many happy times ahead.

That is a website I am going to find so useful, thanks :blue thumb:
I planted and raised my seeds in a greenhouse. Thay are quite large planted out now. Strangely out of 20-30 buds that is the only bud to have flowered. I'm hoping we get a bit of sun on Sunday and my gazanias and straw flowers open as a result. The straw flowers begin to open then close up shop every night.

Baby gazania got a little brother or sister today. We had a bit of sun for a change and this made an appearance. Maybe I'll see a lot more now we are promised a bit more sun ?
