my first ever heron!!!

    Never seen one of these in the flesh before and I was quite excited! But I can tell you it was quite a scramble getting new batteries out of a pack, racing upstairs to put them in the camera to snap it before it flew off!

    I have seen numerous herons in my time, but I can still appreciate the excitement of a first siting of anything!
