They are not really 'free' Kayleigh, it's an RHS member benefit, you get to choose up to 20 packets of seeds each year. The catch is you have to pay a £12 admin fee, but I still think it's worth it as they have quite a large selection. The seeds are collected from the RHS gardens.

Is it a one off payment of £12 per year?

Tee Gee, I think they process them as first come first served. In other years I've left it a few weeks before ordering, but this year I put the order in on the day it became available. Thanks to a tip off from Kristen

Well the RHS membership is around £35 a year if my memory serves, then if you want seeds it costs an additional £12. So it's only worth it if you want to be an RHS member. The RHS Wisley garden is on our door-step and we do visit often, so for us it is good value. The seed distribution is just a bonus really.

You can usually get RHS membership cheaper if you have about £15 of Tesco clubcard points
