    Hello all
Im a complete newbie to gardening, but one thing I did know was that our gravel garden was horrible, messy and unsafe for our child so hubby and I got our hands dirty and worked almost every weekend from feb to now to add a lawn and a little veg patch area at the end...
    here progress in pictures... :D

gives you and idea of size even if it doesnt show you that the whole ground was gravel!

the winds in march 07 blew the fence away

cleared all away and now digging (we dug it up twice to prepare for lawn)

Wow ellen - what a difference! I appreciate all your hard work! Your pics remind me of my own garden - it too was covered in nasty granite gravel - though it took me a good five years to get to the stage you're at!

    Well done!

Ellen it just goes to show what one can achieve in such a short time with an awful lot of work and determination well done girl.

I'm sure you, hubby and your little one will enjoy many hours out in your garden this summer and you never know you just might find time to have a nice cuppa or two before something else needs seeing too!:D Hel.xxx.

It looks amazing! And I love the variety of containers you are using for veg growing - they look so colourful and pretty! Some great ideas there!

    thank you!
we still hve a fair way to go!
My hubby is building a little picket type fence which will seperate the gravel area from the lawn (and hopefully stop my 18mth daughter from thinning the carrots out!!!)
And we need to paint the fences and shed (fence will be green and shed will be blue)
Also the patio needs to be washed and I need to decide which flowers to put into our tubs (half barrels) that we have there...
and and and .... gosh now im writing it all down im wondering if we'll ever finsih the garden! lol!
its so rewarding tho to see progress!
Thx to everyone for your kind comments. I will try and post pictures as we progress along if you like!
