This is the last of the colourful flowers in my garden. :(
We only have the autumn leaves and they are ready to fall.
Then it's just all very drab until after the winter.
We have a few red berries and some evergreens but thats about it
Any ideas what I could use for winter colour I don't have much luck with pansies.

I agree Lyn, there are still a fair amount of flowers around but they will soon be gone.

The spectacular leaf displays are almost finished and it will soon be time for the garden to shut down for the winter.

Although winter is cold and generally drab it can be stunning at times especially when the frost and snow arrives.

    Roll on spring.

Try getting a dogwood. The most boring plant in the world in summer, just a few leaves, but then it doesn't matter, it just takes a back seat. But when it loses its leaves the red colour of the bark is phenomenal. It really comes into its own if we get snow (if we ever do again). If anyone wants a cutting taking, (or more likely a root digging up, it does spread) next year, then PM me in about June and I will send them some of mine which at least is variegated so has a bit of summer interest. You are too late to be thinking about this winter now.

I'll have a wonder round the local garden centres.
I do normaly think ahead but always have this gap in between when the garden looks really dull for a couple of months.
I have loads of spring bulbs in the garden both in the ground and pots.
I love the spring and early summer.
I am a big fan of Azaleas .
I'll look out for some of your suggestions for next year.
The dog wood sounds lovely & I like the look of the mahonia . ( just looked it up).
    Thanks again.
