    Hi all,
It was my son's Christening yesterday and I thought I'd take some photo's before all the kids decided to wreck the garden (they actuall y wern't too bad, and apart from my brother thinking it funny to take home one of my hanging baskets, there was no damage).

    Seating/BBQ area:

    Border 1:

    Rose corner 2 (and Buddlea):

    Part shade bed:

Most of the plants in the borders are sunflowers and Dahlias (and some viola's). Apart from a few bedding plants I bought at the garden centre to fill the gaps, all were grown from seed or bulbs. The gaps in the part shade bed are to be filled by some foxgloves I bought online, they have yet to arrive.

I will post some more photo's when the flowers decide to make an appearance.

    Happy gardenening!!!

Hi Bashy, thanks for posting the pics. What a lovely garden you have. Another that seems to have different areas. I must be soooo boring:). Anyway, apart from your brother lol, how did the day go? I hope you & o/h enjoyed it as so often when 'hosting' these things can mean you don't. I know when I had my son blessed I was more concerned about everyone else and there were only about 10 people there!

Your garden does you credit, looks very 'green' if you know what i mean.

    cheers

Thanks for the kind comments hel and borrowers. Yes, the day went really well. He didn't cry once and everyone had left by 6.30pm.

You're right Borrowers, I have no other kids apart from my 5 month old, so the garden had it's first look at kids running all over the place. The lawn looks a bit trodden, but it will pick up in a few days.

What a lovely garden! Looks a big one with all your different areas. Glad to hear the christening went well, we had my daughter's in February. 50 people in one house = chaos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x
