That definitely isn't the easiest of gardens to work on, and you certainly show a great keenness, along with some interesting ideas. Your good lady must be very happy with the results.

Looking good floydie-pink, you have your work cut out making the garden look nice with all the mish-mash of concrete and brickwork you inherited, but you have already transformed it :dbgrtmb:

I think a mini digger would make that back garden easier to work with, definately don't envy you, but at the same time, you'll have a massive sense of achievement when you get it to how you want it.

I am the good lady :).
Im not planning on doing anything with the paveing and bricks in the back for a while (It will be far too much work for me to take on right now) my main task is to plant up the main beds and get them looking something like.
I have lots of weeding to do again now (grass and millions of baby dandilions popping up in the beds) once i (hopefully) get these out i have more plants to go in in a few weeks time :).
In the front i have started smashing out the paveing but havent got any further than whats in the pic, i have shrubs to go in here and plan to make a path running through them :).

Both the house and gardens as very much a BIG work in process, being a late 1930s/ early 1940s house and having alot of its original features.

Looking good for all the effort! I don't envy you all that pavement..... Guess the previous residents didn't like mowing! I have to tell you that ricinus is quite poisonous since I see you have small children and dogs.

Just being safe. Kids like to imitate grown-ups and since you are growing veg..... well you never know. They might decide to sample other bits growing in the garden.
