    here's a pic of the wildenes I've started to clear a month ago. I'll post more pics as it progresses.

    My oh my you've got a job and half on your hands - does it go all the way down to the road, cos if so, you could build a wonderful garden of terraces - but you would need to support them to prevent the soil washing down.

    What fun to have a wilderness on which to make your mark. I hope you have some muscular helpers.

    Just beyond the foxgloves is a seven foot deep drainage ditch which runs the length of a parking space and double garage. The bit I've cleared is fairly flat from the bottom of the hedgerow bank to the road but the whole lot is about four car lengths. As for the muscly helper, he can ussually be found tinkering in the double garage! :rolleyes:
    Six inches under the surface is a layer of big rocks so I dig with a five foot metal bar 'cos I can't get a fork in, but think of all the plants when it's all cleared. [​IMG]
