This is Charly, 13 year old beagle, poor tired old girl, can't walk far now, just loves to eat and sleep, she had a lovely quiet life until ........

.... we brought home Holly the springer spaniel, now 3 months old, thankfully now out of the aligator phase and taking some notice of what i tell her.

This is Jess, English pointer, no longer with us but had a good life and lived to 12 years old. My beautiful, beautiful girl.

Charly's coped quite well with the new pup, puts up with being pounced on every time she moves, probably too soft for her own good but that's beagles for you. I hoped having new pup in the house might liven Charly up a bit, she did try to chase pup once, but after about 10 steps she gave up. The mind was willing but the body couldn't keep up! Poor old girl.

Looking forward to long walks on the South Downs again. Happy days ahead!

 

Lovely Charly, know exactly what you mean about Charly, my Joyce is just the same.
