My grey Day

    We spent a grey day at Blashford lakes today near Ringwood, Hants, which are ex gravel pits returned to nature and are part of the Wildlife Trust. There are about 10 ponds and lakes.
    The visitor centre put up a few feeders so here are some pics of what we saw.

    Many of the ducks were in the distance:( here is a very distant Goosander.

    THIS was worth waiting for, our patience paid off and I got some half decent pics of a Bittern.
    You could only spot him if he moved.
