after splitting one of them i have got new shoots coming in a raised planter, this was taken a few weeks ago and now i have some good green leaves, i have been to barmonth beach and i thought i would put shells around them thinking they may taste salty to the slugs i will see if it works

They are a great foliage plant when grown well, I think, unfortunately a lot of us dont do that well with them.

Yours on the other hand look really good may.:thumb:

I love my Hostas, I too have a wonderfull collection of hostas all growing around the pond. For some strange reason the slugs have not got at them.

    May.

    They're beautiful example of Hostas.

I bought some last year and before I knew it the slugs and snails had feasted on them. Thankfully this year they're growing back and i've taken measures to protect them. Finger crossed they look as wonderful as yours.

    Ant.
