Showing off I suppose you could call it... and why not?

My smallest ripe tomato....it was really sweet.
Is it the smallest ever? just 2 grammes in weight.

By Crikey, Robert, those apples are growing as thickly as grapes! What type are they?

Well theres a long history to this tree.
Many years ago I got two Ballarina trees. I recall one was a Crispen.
They did not really come up with promised goods, so during a mad remodelling they were both chopped to ground level.
This particular tree then sent out some shoots and looked like a suvivor.
Being of a kindly nature I let it develop into what you see now. Four branches loaded with very nice looking apples suspected of being Crispen or a hybrid from the original root stock. Who knows it could be something new to the world of apples!

Ok. Mother nature has her ways.
After last years fantastic crop from my one Ballerina, as you can see above.. I was expecting the tree to take a rest this year..
But. it has once again came up trumps and the harvest was gathered in today before we lost many more to the windfalls.
I guess theres going to be a few hours spent in the kitchen....

A nice crop there Robert - they'll take a while to process!

We started picking and storing ours yesterday as they've ripened a lot earlier than usual. Windy tonight so I guess we'll have plently on the ground tomorrow:doh:
