Hi people, I haven't been around here lately I've been concentrating on my cake decorating, I have decided to try and make a bit of cash for my efforts. So I have been doing a lot of practicing, here is the cake I made for my sons 19th birthday last month.

Another great cake Dalbuie sadly I think your son's bedroom is much cleaner than my 23 year old's!

I'm sure you will be able to make more than a few pennies with your cakes because if they taste half as good as they look people will be banging on your door for more! ;) Hel.xxx.

Many thanks for the kind comments. I have made up a few flyers and I'm going to hand them in to the local card and gift shop, I'm also handing in some free samples of my cakes in the shape of hand decorated cup cakes.

I got my first order today for a 70th birthday cake- a lawn bowls theme cake.

I have been practicing making flowers today rosa, my roses look like carnations and my polyanthus look like daises!!! [IMG]

    How incredibly clever and professional.

It will be sacrilege to cut it and eat it!

    Bravo!

Looking at that icing - you obviously got a VERY steady hand and good eye!

Stunning. What a shame that it's going to be eaten [IMG]
