Here's my latest bit of good fortune from freecycle - a 3ft Trachycarpus Palm tree; the guy who I got it off had decided on a change of layout for his garden and stuck this behind his greenhouse last year. When he did he chopped the old/damaged leaves off and thought that would be it, but after noticing the new growth he offered it on freecycle to someone who can give it some tlc and that lucky someone was moi - happy days..:dancy: :dbgrtmb:.....its blinking heavy though as it still has all it roots ball having been in a large pot..:snork:

Today I potted up my "rescued" palm into a large pot; after removing some of the damaged/dead dry roots fresh new ones were evident so hopefully it will be ok :dbgrtmb:

Thanks for the offer matey but I think I'll pass on that , it's a long walk from me to you, especially coming back with it strapped to my back.....:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

:snork: I was going to post it to you with not enough stamps on. Putting my address as the main one & putting your address as the sender on the back.

When they can't deliver it, they'd return it to sender:snork:

Probably easier to stick it on local freecycle though.

In a few weeks it will have a fair few tender plants and orchids sat there for the summer.

Very very tasty Keith. Why on earth would you want to sling that out? Love to see it "dressed " later please,

I'm really pleased with them. Been out tonight making a raised bed to show them off.
