Looks like a Bijon Frise to me, borrowers. Called Ming 'cos it's a Scottish Bijon from Manchester ... OK I don't know why [IMG]

I had visions of him being named after Ming Campbell [IMG]

I've been Googling and there doesn't seem to be a correct spelling for B----- Frise. Different sites spell it Bichon, Bishon, Bijon. Confusing

We got him when he was 18 month old.He is now 5. The poor thing only went from the kitchen to the backyard, with his previous owners, and didnt know what a walk was.He was very timid and frightened of men and used to crawl with his belly on the floor, with his tail between his legs, and if you moved he was very jumpy. You would'nt know him as the same dog now.He is so cheeky and full of confidence. He understands every word you say. They told us they were house dogs and didn't need walking. This same dog came walking with me for 5 hours on Wednesday, and really looks forward to his walks. He looks all posh and fluffy in his photo coz I've just bathed and clipped him. Believe me he did'nt look like that when we got back home on Wednesday. But he was happy and thats all that matters. The OH and me love him to bits and he loves us too.

    Late post to this, sorry.

Ming is gorgeous. All dogs like a walk. Depends on what they're used to. You have obviously got Ming used to going out & about and accepting the normal behaviour in a house. Good for you.

I only speak from personal experience of having a poodle for about 12 years (as a kid to start with) & they are a 'snotty' breed but i mean that in the nicest sense. And you are so right about being a mess if they can. My dog (mum & dad used to see to all the things that i didn't ) used to go to a groomers about every 6 weeks. Collected in a van, which he hated, came back, out of the van through the front door out the back door, into the garden & roll, roll, roll around. Ha ha. Bless them all.
Does he like baths? My dog now only has them from us & hates them, to a shivering state!

Send loads of pics on here. We love them.

    cheers

Funnily enough B,I originally bought it for my grandaughter about 12 months ago, I left it on a chair in the kitchen ,and he nicked it when I was'nt looking,so i had to go and buy another one.He loves his toys, and gets quite possessive. Can't blame him, he had nothing for the first 18 months of his life. Even had to share a plastic basket with his brother, with nothing soft to lie on.
