This is a Kodak No.4 Bullet Special 1898 vintage. This model was produced between 1898 and 1904. It used 103 roll film using an adaptor or as shown above, a double plate holder.
Cost when new was $20 with a single double plate holder, additional holders were $1 and the camera with the roll film adaptor cost $25.

I'm curious how you managed to upload digital photographs of itself, from itself? :hehe:

The removable storage media from the camera fit the CD drive on my PC if I wrench the drawer out:D

Will Ting - Up to a few years ago I still had a darkroom and a good stock of sheet film. I could have taken and printed then but sadly not now. I may have a try at using my digital as 'the film' and try taking a macro shot of the image on the ground glass screen, but I'll need a very sunny day to do it and probably a black cloth over my head too!

Aaah! Back to the good old days of twiddling and fiddling. Lovely camera, Dave. During the early 1990s I frequently used an old bellows Ensign Selfix 8 images on 120 film. Brilliant! It would have been lovely to see some results from your little masterpiece.
