The latest feline addition to the family was neutered last week.
So why is he still showing an unhealthy interest in my legs? God knows what anyone who looked in the window would think seeing me dragging "revenge of the cat" around the house attached to my left calf!

[IMG] "what cat? Oh him, yes, he's settling in nicely, thank you"

    Hi, TO!
We have a very large male cat - also neutered - name of "Obelix" after the Asterix the Gaul character (because he's so big!). His great delight is to grab your ankle with his front paws and scratch away at your foot with his back ones. Fine when I'm wearing thick jeans and safety boots - otherwise...OUCH!!!

He seems to think it's a) friendly, and b) fun. Needless to say, we don't quite see it the same way, and he has to be dissuaded. Picking him up usually works. He seems to forget about it after that. Until the next time....!

Think yourself lucky you haven't got a male labrador. If its edible they eat it, if not they hump it. :D

    LOL [IMG]

Hyla,I know exactly what you mean, I call that their kangaroo kick but fortunately my lot only use it on each other when they are play fighting.
And, yes, I wouldn't trade them for anything especially that male labrador!

Hyla, my Calvos does that also, but he's only ten months old so still small. He likes to do this first thing when I'm standing having tea on the kitchen patio ... so I am barefoot! Also like Obelix, if picked up he forgets what he was doing! :D

my legs have been scratch posts for years - is this not normal? ;)
never mind your labrador geoff, it isnt just dogs that do that :( 2 of my cats have shown amourous interest in me - one outgrew it by about aged 10 but i have a 6yr old who doesn't realise you cant do these things to your mums knee! (and they are neutered.)
