my pansies

    I bought some matrix pansies 2 weeks ago and the leaves are starting to go yellow ..they are in a pot outside.whats going wrong with them and do i need to give them food..ie: tomato feed?

    It sounds as if they are getting to much water ducky. Have you put drainage holes on the bottom of your pots so they dont get water logged? 02

    yes there are holes in the bottom of the pot..i have some others what are doing ok.so i dont know what the problems is..do you ??

    I like to fill my pots with horticultural grit for drainiage then my compost and then my plants ,this works well for me.

    Hi Ducky isn't that sweet?:D

    Have you used 'fresh' compost? and not some recycled stuff you have used before because this could well be your problem as some soil bugs just love new tasty plants.

    I suspect your pansies are just getting used to being planted out. There isn't the warmth and length of daylight at this time of the year like there is in the late spring or summer and so plants feel the shock of transplanting more. Just give them some time to settle down.
