Hi all, it's been a while.
I see I posted in 2015 about my Hebe that I had bought the year before and that it had not stopped flowering even during winter. Anyway, I still have this Hebe. Even after being persuaded by my son a few years ago to aggressively prune it rather that chucking it out (which worked a treat, as it was looking gangly and bare).
This afternoon I noticed that the leaves are turning black. Im thinking the intense freeze (probably the lowest temps in my garden ever) we had a couple of weeks back must have really damaged it and it doesn't look good. Only the tips remain green.
So, is it frost damage and will it recover or is it really bin time this time?!

    Welcome back :blue thumb:

The intense cold probably got to it but it looks as though it will recover. :)

It still has a chance wait and see in the spring.

It might recover but if it does it will likely need a good cutback once you can see new growth.

A lot of mine look like that, it's frost burn. Give it a trim in the spring when it shows signs of re growth

Just a wee update. The Hebe was toast. I left it until way into spring but no signs of life and it had to go. Replaced it with a nice wee Acer.
