My Quarry Reserve Walk

    went for a lovely walk this morning took these pics at my local quarry nature reserve

    thanks peri, yes it can be very busy at times theres always different pics to take, the ducklings were so sweet and the mother was protecting them as there was a smaller gull flying around above them and mum was protecting them and moving them on.
    behind here is a large field and stables so got some pics of the horses having a grand time running around and the foals so will put them in here.

    i dont know what type of walker you are rosa but if i were at the quarry i would be walking real slowly just ambling away, looking out for wildlife, you cant beat getting out and about and enjoying a lovely country walk

    hi cumberland thanks for the lovely comments, i like to ramble and take my time taking pics its just so enjoyable cant wait to go to the lakes in just over 2 weeks time going to bowness-on-windermere so i will be all over taking pics there, the weather was just perfect today for a lovely walk and snapping away as we do hehe.

    peri pleased you like the horse pics thought you would being a horsey person like me, that flower dont know what it is cumberland probably is right it was quite a large tree and those flowers quite large.

    well i hope the weather stays good for your visit to lakeland
    on a hot summers day there is nothing like having an ice cream and popping on one of the steamers for a boat trip

    cumberland im hoping weather will be nice definately going on a boat,a bit shopping around the village and windermere we were going for 2 nights looks like might stay longer as theres so much i want to see and do.

    Lovely photo's Rosa,especially like the foals but I hope they don't eat any of that Ragwort because it can be a killer:euw:

    Cancel your Christmas holiday abroad Rosa and have two weks up in Lakes when you go up next month.You won't regret it:D

    Nice walk Rosa. Thanks for sharing.
    I picked up on what periwinkle said about a walk like that is different everytime you do it. Its like when we visit the Yorkshire Dales The fields are forever changing and giving us new vistas. You could stand in the same spot every visit and take a different picture.
