Spectacular display :thumb: Mine has only a few flowers on it this year as I transplanted it late last year.
And to think at one time that roddie bush fitted inside an empty crisp packet lol it must be about 20 or more years old now , i was on a woodland walk and a tiny little plant had seeded at the base of a huge roddie , so i dug it out with my finger and put it in a crisp packet and took it home, at the time i did not realize that roddies are lime hating plants ,and i put it in my front garden which has soil like builders sand . it grew to about 18 inches but never did any good for about 10 years , in fact i nearly dug it up and was going to put it in the dustbin, but just in time i learned that they dont like that type of soil so i dug it out of the front garden and planted it in the back garden where the soil is much better ,and i put a huge bag of ericasious compost in the hole with it , and ever since then it has always flowered every year .
:D i think he is looking at my flowerpot man ,he does look as if he is going to jump off that waterbutt yes the clematis by the bush is ... miss bateman ,,,,and the one by the waterbutt is ernest markham but oh dear with the rain overnight and today ,my poor roddie has had her flowers flattened. :( i am glad i got that pic yesterday
