And to think at one time that roddie bush fitted inside an empty crisp packet lol

it must be about 20 or more years old now , i was on a woodland walk and a tiny little plant had seeded at the base of a huge roddie , so i dug it out with my finger and put it in a crisp packet and took it home, at the time i did not realize that roddies are lime hating plants ,and i put it in my front garden which has soil like builders sand .

it grew to about 18 inches but never did any good for about 10 years , in fact i nearly dug it up and was going to put it in the dustbin, but just in time i learned that they dont like that type of soil so i dug it out of the front garden and planted it in the back garden where the soil is much better ,and i put a huge bag of ericasious compost in the hole with it , and ever since then it has always flowered every year .:)
