    Hi

I planted a load of allium bulbs in early October and they quickly sprung up due to the warm weather. Now the frost has arrived they will die. What should I do?

    Thanks

ps Has anybody used www.GardeningExpress.co.uk recently? I'm having awful problems with them.

Most Alliums are almost evergreen. Certainly many of the earlier flowering ones are. They are definitely winter growing. The leaves in fact often have died away when the flower appears. Unless you have planted them in poorly drained soil they will survive the frost.

Thanks for your reply. I was amazed when I saw them growing happily. I look forward to seeing them flower next spring.

    Regards
