These are my Herman's Tortoises, Kaia, Naja, Delia & Dax.

Kaia and Naja are my two largest, A male and female pair. I've had them for a number of years now and have been lucky enough to get fertile eggs. During the summer they live out in my garden in a purpose built enclosure. This has. Shelter to protect them from the elements and provide a little warmth on full days and provides cover from predators.

Last year I was lucky to get a clutch of eggs. Only 2 proved to be fertile and hatched a few months later.

      How wonderful!!! :dbgrtmb:

I know how excited I was hatching chook and duck eggs; to hatch tortoise eggs must have been very exciting indeed :dancy:

It was a very rewarding experience but waiting the 70 odd days for them to hatch was agonising!

I think she has laid eggs most years, but they are hidden so well when buried it us impossible to find them unless you see the nest being dug. I have just purchased a waterproof time-lapse camera so I can keep an eye on her this year.
