Hi yes, but I tend to get the orange and red ones, have a peach and a yellow one with red spots. It'll be August before most of cannas open and gingers, my agapanthus is just starting to open. Garden looks better when you see it with your own eyes, can't get proper pic of whole garden as I'm looking at it through french doors!!
Conifer hedge is 10ft, fence is 5ft to get an idea of height of plants. [IMG]

I can see why you call it your TO, TO, you have some specimen plants there. You have a micro climate where you are as most of the Wirral does as far as I know so you can grow plants there which would stuggle else where in the north.
I saw some large Oleanders in a Residential home garden in Birkenhead last year so it must be a favourable climate.
Don't see many Eryobotrias these days, I'm still playing 'spot the exotic', you have a fantastic garden. [IMG] [IMG]

Yes some very interesting stuff there TO in you TO. :D
I see you have lots of pots, a bit like me, but there are some good looking palms coming along.
One of the many things that grabbed my interest was that, what looks like a yucca, leaning against the down pipe, what is it, it looks old. [IMG]

Yucca filifera picked it up at a local garden centre for £20! last year. Everything stays outside during the winter, except the brahea armata, I only got that last summer so it went in the unheated greenhouse just to make sure. I just stuff straw in the crowns of the tree ferns and wrap nanas with a bit of fleece, and if it rains alot which for some reason it does'nt in winter! I just put a plastic cover over the agaves. My loquat stays where it is all year which is in shade in winter, I'm south facing but the 10ft conifer hedge shades half the garden in winter with the sun being low. Cycas does better outside than the one in the house too.

Roebelenii gets put in the greenhouse too. Cannas and gingers just get choped down to 4" in late october and left where they are. Honey bush flowers in spring then goes leggy so that gets chopped late spring then starts again. And as you can see my beschoneria yuccoides flowered this year I'll chop that off soon.

You were lucky to get that yucca at a garden centre, and for 20quid.
It looks like an old one, pretty unusual here I would have thought.
