Hi guys and girls thought it was time to introduce you all to my Yorkies Pepsi and Jovi.

This is Pepsi she is the mum of our other Yorkie Jovi.

She's nearly 11 and her barks worst than her bite as she is missing some of her teeth..bless her she's a little bit old now to 'do' tricks but she can still 'dance' and 'beg'.

Pepsi has had two litters and both times she couldn't feed her pups herself after ten days as she got milk fever so we never bred her again.

I became mum to all the pups and personlly hand fed all the little guys and girls, if I had to go out anywhere I took them all out with me just like any 'human' mum ....bottle blankets and all!

    Here is Pepsi's daughter Jovi

She's 9 and has always been quite a handful it looked like her sire would be having a few problems and might die....so we kept her from the litter just in case her dad died as he was owned by my father-in-law and he would have been so lost without a Yorkie.

She 'picked' us even from a couple of weeks old she would jump out of the puppy pen and snuggle up to Bob.

Neverless to say the sire didn't die and Jovi stayed with us....She's quite a clever dog as she can do no end of tricks; dance on her back legs in circles, walk backwards and forwards on her back legs, beg for mercy and 'die' as well as all the normal stuff sit, stay, lay down and 'talk'.

I have never had a problem with training dogs and I don't 'do' it for a living but for the sheer joy of having a well behave dog and I do believe there is no such thing as a bad dog, just a bad owner!

    There is our 'Baby' Dude

Sadly we lost him to bone cancer last year and it torn our heart out, never had a Rottie before and sadly don't think we will ever again. He really was one in a million!

He was also a very clever boy... I even trained him to pee on command and boy did he love his mum!

    Helen,

I totally agree with you, it IS the owners that are difficult, not the dogs. Although i 'do' it for a living i am lucky to make my first love (dogs) my work [IMG]

Really John.... do you wag your tail when you get excited too? :D
    Thanks for mentioning Dude.

Paula you do have a wonderful job then if you train dogs for a living it really is so much fun but boy I bet it's harder to train the owners!

Helen, you are spot on, i think thats why i try to see humour in things when i can, the owners cry then say they are going to do the right things and then inevitably forget everything you have said/done with the dogs and ring you 2 months later and the cycle starts again!

On the other hand, the ones that take notice and are willing to change are a delight and many have become really good friends [IMG]
