It's looking fantastic O, well done!! [IMG]

The taytas you sent me are propped up with canes as they're flopping all over the place and are huge!!! They've got flowers too [IMG] I'm thinking of having an exploratory dig up of one at the weekend, there must be some juicy spuds under there somewhere [IMG] The beetroots and carrots are coming on too, and I've got Tomato plants all over the place, full of flowers...I can't wait!!!! [IMG]
Still no sign of Baby O???? Looks like I could be right...next Wednesday 8lb 4oz :D Anyone else want to have a guess????? :D

I've just posted this weeks update on my blog.

I've also added links to some websites I discovered this week, they are quite informative.

Still no sign of Baby O , but plenty of twinges.

Take care all - keep enjoying your gardens!

Hi Oktarine - just read your blog and am green with envy.

Interesting title - Reads Retreat. It would appear we may be related if you are using your name. Not spelt that way very often either.

A bientot from Read's Retreat en France.

    Kryssy.

    You never know Kryssy.

What part of the country do your Reads hail from ?

Hubby's grandfather (and possibly two generations beforehand) and father hailed from Kettleborough - which I believe is in Suffolk - then moved up to Cambridge and surrounding area. They were simple country folk, working mostly on the land until WWII. There's quite a few of them up there now. We don't come across many Reads with the "a". Do you?

We recently met another 14 through geneology sites, and confirmed family ties !

We have relatives mostly in Kent, but also a good few in California !

None that I know of from your neck of the woods , but will pass on to our researcher ( mum ) just in case !

Hubby's brother and nephew have been researching the Reads for some time now but I don't know how far back they have got. I'll see if they have any links to Kent or US but it's probably just a coincidence with our name. Anyway, it's a good name.

    Hi Cousin!

Well, not really. There's no link from our Reads to your Reads I'm afraid. Seems our Reads didn't get out much.

However, if you find any who left unclaimed millions sitting in a vault somewhere I'm sure we can dig up a connection. Vice Versa of course.
