Hello Plotty, I am new to gardening and had a look at your Week 6 update. I have a question however, I am thinking of sowing my sweet peas today. I have heard of plants being leggy but do not really understand what this means. Can anyone help?

It means they're tall and thin, and often rather pale. What you want is a sturdier plant, so, with sweet peas in particular, once they start growing, you usually are advised to nip out the growing tip, to leave just the lowest set of leaves on, which encourages them to bush out.

Hi Steve,Very good update again this week.It is good the way you have sown the sweet peas and let them grow without a lot of light to show newbies to gardening what happens when you let the seedlings get too leggy...Liked also the rabbit tail find in the greenhouse.I bet they did a lot of work over the years. Are you going to try them out?
Looking forward to your allotment update and your next one from the Hall gardens...Good Luck
    :D :D
